In an attempt to broaden our horizons we present King Sunny Adé. Rising to prominence in the late 70's, his music could be specifically categorized as jújù music although known by many as a pioneer of world music. New York Times' journalist Robert Palmer described one of Adé's several concerts in New York in the 1980s as one of the most significant pop music events of the decade and Adé as "one of the world's great band leaders." King Sunny, welcome to Wine & Bowties.
