The Ball Lily of South Africa

Also referred to as the powder puff, or globe lily, the ball lily is native to Africa and grows best in tropical environments. The blooms are big with red pink spikes and yellow specks at the ends, that while beautiful only last for about a week. Flowers are fresh because their shape and colors are so varying yet they all come from a tiny nondescript seed, and then grow into something magnificent. A flower is beauty in its most natural form.
