This collection of photos, taken by photographer Gjon Mili for Life magazine in 1949, shows Pablo Picasso himself experimenting with light drawing. The sketches were made in a dark room, drawn quickly with a flashlight, and captured with a slow shutter speed, creating the images you see here. The collection serves as evidence of a unique collaboration, using the medium of photography to relate the essence of a different type of artist. Click here to see the gallery in its entirety.
