The Places We Live

The 'Places We Live' is a photo exhibition comprised of panoramic photographs from urban slums around the world, narrated by the people that live there. Photographer Jonas Bendiksen documents the life of people living in urban slums throughout the world, capturing life from Jakarta, Indonesia to Caracas in Venezuela. An extremely poignant work, the project was exhibited in conjunction with the Nobel Peace Center in June 2008. If nothing else, these photographs serve to highlight the contrasting lifestyles that humans are living today. A truly amazing site that should be viewed by all.
