Eunice Kathleen Waymon, known to the world as Nina Simone was a Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and civil rights activist. Categorized best as a jazz musician her eclectic sound takes her to moments of jubilation and just as quickly brings her to moments of despair. Also known as the High Priestess of Soul, her music has influenced the likes of Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and John Legend. "Aint Got No, I Got Life," was recorded in 1968 and became a huge hit in the UK before rising to prominence in the US. Nina passed away in '03 but her music will live on forever. Enjoy.
