OK folks. This one is special. This song could have been made in 1965. Does this dude look at all like he would make this kind of music? Either way, this is too dope. Perfect song and solid visual presentation. Mayer Hawthorne, who lists Curtis Mayfield and Smokey Robinson as influences, is signed to Stones Throw records, the home of legendary hip-hop producers J Dilla and Madlib, among others. Personally, I might just have to cop the heart-shaped vinyl, available here along with the mp3. Once again, don't thank me, thank Nick.
