Meet BLK JKS

All the way from Johannesburg, South Africa, BLK JKS (call 'em Black Jacks) are getting some serious global hype, and for good reason. Comprised of childhood friends, the band's music has drawn comparisons to Radiohead, Fela Kuti and most often, TV on the Radio. In their own words: "Afro-jazz riffs segue into tribal rhythms, which swagger through street-level sociology before exploding into hardcore bursts of noise, kwaai kwaito beats and addictive rock hooks. It’s not funk rock. It’s not punk rock. It’s not indie rock. It’s just music, and it’ll infect your mind if you let it." BLK JKS is set to drop their highly anticipated After Robots album in September. For now, enjoy the video for "Lakeside".
