Is there a doper coming of age movie than Almost Famous? Set in the early 70s, Cameron Crowe's semi-autobiographical story follows a 15 year-old kid who gets the opportunity to write for Rolling Stone, joining his favorite band on the road. If you haven't seen it, it's pretty necessary. Yeah, I could've picked the plane scene. Or "Tiny Dancer". But, to my mind, nothing sums up the energy of the film better than this moment. The band crashes a high school party. On drugs.
