For all intents and purposes, Shawn Carter is (still) the best rapper alive. After bringing us the D.O.A. video a few weeks back, Hov's next move has been to pull out this verse acapella at major shows. A lot has been made about the supposed shots fired in the verse ("I ain't talkin' bout Game/ I ain't talkin' bout Jimmy/ I ain't talkin' bout Game"). Game even got his feelings hurt, and made yet another questionable career choice. More important than the namedrops to me though, is the actual content of the verse. Hov is basically releasing a mission statement, addressing the haters and detractors from a position of power. Simple and effective, this is Jay doing what he does best.
